1. Overview
You can request deletion of your HomePe account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains how to make that request, exactly what is deleted, what we are legally required to keep, and how long the process takes.
This policy applies to the HomePe mobile application and our website www.homepe.com, operated by HomePe Technologies Private Limited.
2. How to Delete Your Account
To delete your account and associated personal data, send a deletion request from your registered email address to support@homepe.com with the subject line “Delete My Account”. Include the mobile number registered with HomePe so we can locate your profile. We will verify your identity (via your registered email or an OTP) before processing the request.
3. What Information Gets Deleted
When your deletion request is completed, we permanently remove or irreversibly anonymise the following:
- Account identifiers — your name, email address, mobile number and profile details.
- Financial profile inputs — loan principal, EMI amount, interest rate, tenure, income range and savings goals you entered.
- Simulation history, prepayment and SIP strategies generated for you, and saved preferences.
- Support queries, feedback messages and in‑app activity tied to your profile.
- Device identifiers and usage analytics linked to your account.
4. What We Retain and Why
As a regulated mutual fund distributor (AMFI ARN 349668), we are required by law to retain certain records even after account deletion. We keep only the minimum necessary, isolate it from active systems, and use it solely for the purposes below:
- Transaction & financial records— retained for the period mandated under SEBI, AMFI, PMLA and applicable tax laws (typically up to 8 years).
- Records required for legal, audit or regulatory compliance— retained for as long as the applicable obligation requires.
- Marketing suppression list— a minimal record (e.g. a hashed contact) kept for up to 5 years so we can honour your opt‑out and not contact you again.
- Backups— residual copies in encrypted backups are purged on a rolling cycle, within 30 days of deletion.
Retained data is not used to re‑profile you or for any new processing once your account is deleted.
5. Important — Mutual Fund Investments
HomePe acts only as a distributor. Any mutual fund units you hold are recorded with the respective Asset Management Companies (AMCs) and Registrars & Transfer Agents (RTAs) — not with HomePe.
- Deleting your HomePe account does not redeem, close or transfer your mutual fund holdings.
- Your investments remain safe and accessible directly through the relevant AMC/RTA or another distributor.
- Please redeem or transfer any active SIPs and holdings before requesting deletion if you no longer wish to hold them, as you may lose the consolidated view HomePe provides.
6. Processing Timeline
- Immediately: your account is deactivated and you are signed out of all devices.
- Within 7 business days: identity verification is completed and personal data is deleted or anonymised from active systems.
- Within 30 days: residual copies in encrypted backups are purged.
7. After Deletion
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Deleted data, simulations and preferences cannot be recovered.
You are welcome to create a new HomePe account at any time in the future, but it will start fresh with no link to your previous data.
